Swami Rama Meditation Centre (Singapore)

The Swami Rama Meditation Centre of Singapore(SRMC)welcomes you. The SRMC was established on the 20 April 2010 and will be a year old today 20 April 2011. To mark its first anniversary the Centre has launched its website which contains essential details for both initiates and those interested in the Himalayan Traditions of mediation as taught by Swami Rama and Swami Veda Bharati.

The SRMC is a non-profit organization registered under the laws of Singapore as a society comprising members who elect a Management Committee to spearhead its activities and to render regular reports to the members. Many of its members have been initiated by Swami Rama and Swami Veda personally and given appropriate “mantras” for their regular meditation.

The SRMC is the only such Centre in Singapore dedicated to promoting the Himalayan Traditions. It conducts regular full moon meditation, study sessions and exchange of views among its members to help and further our spiritual practices. The SRMC also has a small library of books available on request on the lives and teaching of Swami Rama and Swami Veda and handy booklets on meditation. The Centre does not collect any funds and its activities are fully supported by free and voluntary offerings by its members.

The SRMC fully supports and cooperates with other like minded organizations including the Association of Himalayan Yoga Meditation Societies International (AHYMSIN).

We in the SRMC hope that you will have an enjoyable and fruitful journey as you navigate these pages.

We wish to thank Swami Veda Bharati for his unstinting inspiration, guidance, support and encouragement as well as taking the time from his busy schedule to write a Foreword for  the launch of our website on our first anniversary.

The SRMC has made a “Bhandara” offering to celebrate its first and subsequent two anniversaries. On this date 20 April 2011 special prayers with a fire offering were  offered for the SRMC and all its members as a sangha of initiates at the Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama in Rishikesh, India. Similar prayers were held for its subsequent two anniversaries on the 20 April 2012 and 20 April 2013.

For the years 2014 onwards we have  also arranged for the Bhandara to be continued as part our tradition on the 20 April  each year. We must thank our members for their continuing support in making free offerings.Thank you
